Bought in the west of Ireland as a 4 year old, Kate was instantly taken with this lovely horse by Emir R. He is an incredibly eye catching horse, with fabulous movement and a classic, scopey jumping technique. He can be somewhat exuberant, but always in an enthusiastic, happy way! He loves to work and just flicks his ankles and is feet are off the ground! Constantly scoring dressage marks in the low 20s, this is a true athlete and Brownie has serious winning potential for the future.
Brownie spent some time training at Cooley Farm before making the trip to Dassett HQ at the start of 2020. As with all of our 5 year olds, he was turned away for a couple of months during the first Covid-19 lockdown to reduce numbers at DE HQ and rounded off the year with some unaffiliated events with great success. Despite the low mileage, Brownie excelled in 2021 as a 6yo, with multiple BE100 podium finishes, including a win, and easily upgraded to Novice level. As a 7yo in 2022, Brownie consolidated on his Novice form, and continued to impress. Sadly he missed some of his autumn runs due to a puncture wound in the sole of a hind foot, but it has left no lasting damage and he made a full recovery.
He is a pleasure to work with and train, with masses of untapped potential, and we with him the best of luck in his new home!
