Billy was sourced out of France as a 3yo in 2021 by Aoife Clark. She successfully produced him through his 4yo year in the UK, where they had great success in the young horse classes.
Having purchased Billy at the end of his 4yo year, he enjoyed a good break and wasn’t rushed into the 2023 season. Billy had successful runs at his first 3 BE100s this spring and expertly stepped up to Novice proving what a professional horse he is. He jumped a faultless double clear around the National 5YO Champs, whilst also consolidating on his Novice from through the autumn.
Kate is mindful Billy is still only a 6yo, however Billy has taken 2024 by storm and jumped round some of the toughest Novice tracks proving a xc machine. It will take time to produce this horse on the flat, but he looks to have all the ingredients to be a really top horse.
Billy is a very tall horse, and being nearly 80% TB and quite an introvert personality, he needs time to develop his genuine strength and true confidence in himself. Once this is achieved, he is sure to be a very successful horse.
