This lovely mare was bred by Hannah Bayne-Powell at the Crown Stud in Surrey. She is by Casall and out of a Leandro / Caletto mother. Alex has previously show jumped in 6YO classes internationally, before Dassett Eventing snapped her up through Harry Horgan in the summer of 2023.
Alex managed to get a few runs under her belt in the autumn of 2023 to give her the idea of her new career, and she took to eventing brilliantly.
In 2024, Alex will not doubt quickly fly up the grades. She will continue to get BE100 mileage, but we have no doubt she will upgrade to Novice level this autumn.
Alex’s talent coupled with her exceptional attitude means she has all the raw ingredients to be a top class eventer. She has three excellent paces and an incredibly athletic and powerful jump. She is a very compact model, and naturally very uphill. She is good enough for any professional, yet straight forward enough for anyone to produce. This a very exciting and potentially top class horse.
