We are so fortunate to have a fantastic team at Dassett Eventing. From the maintenance workers and office staff to the grooms and riders, we always have the best people for the job. The atmosphere and culture here is second to none and this shines through to the horses. Dassett horses are selected for their competition potential and we only entrust the best people with their training and development. We couldn’t produce these incredible Dassett horses without the support of the whole team.
We are thrilled to have selected two new members of staff for 2019, who we know will bring so much to ‘Team Dassett’ and would like to tell you more about them.
Firstly, we would like to introduce Alice Harrison. Alice joined at the end of 2018, as ‘Trainee Yard Manager’. We anticipate that she will soon be running Dassett HQ with speed, efficiency and care. She has her level 3 Animal Management qualification from Moreton Morrell College and has worked for various equestrian establishments, as well as doing voluntary work for the local community. Dassett Eventing is a busy yard with lots of different areas to consider. We are looking forward to seeing her progress and excited to see the developments she brings to Dassett Eventing.
Amelia Walker has also joined Dassett Eventing to gain experience as a ‘Rider’. She has been running her home yard since she left school at 18 and has ridden since a young age. Her biggest achievements include winning her first CCI-L2* at Hartpury and then coming 8thin her first CCI-L3*. Last year she came 5that the 4 year old championships at Osberton, a championship many of the Dassett horses will be targeted at this year. She has joined Dassett Eventing to continue developing her skills as a rider and hopefully to progress to ride at 5* level, putting herself in contention for British Teams throughout her career. We are sure that she has an impressive future ahead of her and look forward to being part of her development.
