Yesterday saw a selection of my rides (those I ride for clients and those I am producing for sale) have some cross country training in our schooling field. All seven horses, from Advanced to those having their first go, felt on top form and we were delighted with our day. I really think we have some very talented and special horses coming through our yard at the moment, and the whole team is very excited about the careers that lie ahead for these horses.
At the other end of the spectrum, permanent Dassett resident Dassett Jack, even let us have a school! At the grand age of 15 years old, that is quite an achievement – he has gone his whole career with minimal cross country schools as he gets so desperate to jump anything and everything, he quite literally looses his mind! But yesterday he actually behaved like the experienced campaigner that he is.
There is a short video attached to this blog showing you some of the day’s action. The horses, in order of appearance, are:
Drombane Dassett, HHS Dassett Class, Dassett Jack, SVS Dassett Enterprise, Dassett Gold, Dassett Forever Autumn and Dassett Future.
